Nowhere does Christmas as well as cosy country pubs and The Pig and Butcher does this better than most (if we do say so ourselves!).  Expect mulled wine on the bar and subtle, traditional foliage both in the pub and our fantastic ‘country kitchen’ style private dining room.

Once again we have put together a meat lovers feast for all parties of 6 or more.  All dishes on the feasting menu come on vintage platters and are served ‘farmhouse style’ for the entire table to share.

Parties of 5 or less can choose from our daily changing December à la carte menu.

Our stunning private dining room complete with aga and wood burning stove can seat up to 24 guests while our dining room is available for private use for up to 40 guests (minimum spend applies).

MainsPlease choose up to 2 main items for the table to share. If two choices are made, these will be divided 50:50 & served equally on feasting platters.

Free range Cotswold Bronze turkey breast rolled with maple cured bacon, cranberry compote, sage & chestnut stuffing

Honey glazed Paddock Farm Tamworth ham, parsley sauce, crushed celeriac & Bramley apple

Slow roasted Herdwick lamb leg, heritage beetroots & green sauce

Braised Native breed beef, bone marrow, smoked belly bacon & Portobello mushrooms

45 day aged Cumbrian Shorthorn Fore rib of beef, caramelised cauliflowers & shallots
For 3 to share (supplement £8.50 per person, served pink)

Mrs Pugh’s whole roast suckling pig, roasted quince & braised red cabbage
For 15 people to share (supplement £9.50 per person)

All served with gravy, roast potatoes, heritage carrots & sprout tops
